Back to New York
It’s been a while.
After saying goodbye to Paris, I took a trip to China for 18 days. Having just gotten back to New York for a week, the blizzard 2016 is welcoming my return. “What’s better than updating your blog on a snow day?” I thought.
So now here I am, sitting in front of a window covered with ice, sipping my tea, listening to adele and having a face mask on. I have to slowly cover what I have done in the past month and set up a more average blogging routine.
The week back to New York consists of adjusting myself to jet-lag and the rapid pace of New York City. I did pick back up on my old tutoring job, and am waiting for a response from Phillip Lim for the semester long internship. The first week of classes was not too hectic though, because I am only taking three classes with professors just taking attendance and chatting with us on the first class. I am longing to see what these interesting classes can bring to me this semester: Intro to journalism, Intro to Fashion, and Business of Fashion.
The continuing studies of my French is kind of like a remedy for when I miss Paris. I’ve been to two groups on meetup.com to gather with other francophones, both had really nice people. I was even hopping bars with a group of them last night during the arrival of the storm.
The snow was awesome, I haven’t been so happy to see snow for a long time (maybe because I live in an apartment now and I don’t have to shovel?) The snow also gave me a chance to try out a fading gray hair, no salon necessary! Credit also goes to my Siberian scarf from Portugal for keeping me so warm!
Columbus Circle was completely covered in snow. The city is on lock down until the storm is over. I have never seen so much snow in my life, and I have never seen such a big snowfall. We even spotted star war from my friend’s apartment window!
Hope you all enjoy this snow day, and I will keep you all updated!
