The designer builds this collection based on Jacques Derrida’s prophetic 1994 assertion that “Justice is deconstruction,” by defining it as “finding clam within chaos, an apt analogy for contemporary culture and furthermore, the disappearance of sub-cultures.” The designer transforms the nuanced atmosphere and simplified it into the short slogans “post irony and eternal youth,” with the use of black, yellow, brown, and blue in the work. This season’s signature detail includes abstract circuit board jacquard and crocheted iPhone cables and silicone wires presented on models. It’s almost as if a work of art has been inspired by philosophical prophecies.
The designer Devon Halfnight LeFlufy was born in Vancouver and received both his BA and MA in Fashion Design from the prestigious Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp, Belgium. His MA collection has made remarks to received award from the famed Antwerp 6 with the “International Jury Prize.”
