Matcha Sweet Treats
Sometime ago I saw on Business Insider that there is a bakery in midtown Manhattan that sells matcha cream puff, and memories of those original flavor cream puffs I used to buy in Queens came back to my mind. To those who are unfamiliar with matcha, it simply is just green tea. Matcha is widely used in Asia for its bitter, sweet, and grassy taste that is so addictive to your taste buds. The pleasant taste of this herb is suitable for many types of warm and cold desserts
Thanks to my brother, he went to the bakery, Bibble and Sip, and stood on line for a while to get their signature matcha cream puffs. They were three dollars each, fair price for a puff generously filled with matcha flavored cream.
They are good, and THEY ARE GOOD. That’s all I can say. The puff was so generously filled with matcha flavored cream that you are afraid it would push out on the other side when you bite it. The crust was lightly crunched and chewy. It’s topped with matcha glaze and powder to add more texture to every bite.
The bakery also has other savory desserts, pastries, and coffee, such as the matcha jasmine latte. I am planning a visit this weekend!
