So proud of myself for keeping up with the French radio, French TV, and French language exam practices. What drives me to keep myself updated with the city is all my close friends who are still in Paris and my passion for the French culture.
My good friend Jackie sent me this photo today. Oh how beautiful is the pink cotton candy sky above the French façade. It’s hard to get tired of the view; there’s something about Paris, about the French architecture, about the Eiffel Tower, about Louis Vuitton, about Chanel, about the movie Amélie and many other French classics that serve to satisfy basic human sentiments, that whenever you are sick of the ephemerals, the classics are always available to you. Keep looking at the Eiffel tower, from the day when the sun shines on its bronze lattice body, to at night when countless lights over the tower flashing, the classics never get old. “Keep your head up when you walk on the street, because you can always discover beautiful details in the delicate building façade,” says my French mentor. It’s true, the delicacy of the country comprises of many stories and surprises behind worth discovering. I just miss those days when I would take a walk on the street whenever I feel stressed and depressed.
