My 7-Day Green Smoothie Cleanse Challenge
Happy Monday! It’s sunny and warm here in New York after a rain storm hit us yesterday. Sunshine and the mild wind are alongside me to accomplish my goals of the week!
This week, I will be at work most of the time and will be shooting more photos of my weekend shopping. Stay tuned!
Last week, I follow a 7-day green smoothie cleanse challenge for the second time of my life after reading 10-Day Green Smoothie Cleanse by JJ Smith, available on Amazon if you click here.
This book by JJ Smith teaches you all the recipes and routines to follow for a green smoothie cleanse that runs for 10 days. For 10 days, you survive on green smoothies, other unprocessed vegetables and fruits, and a handful of nuts everyday. No carbs, no meat, no nonsense. Because it’s completely modifiable, you can set your goal to be 8 days or even 15 days depending on your circumstances. You can even substitute only one meal a day with the smoothies. The routine is a great help on losing weight, but I did it mostly for cleansing away the toxic that has been cumulated in my body during the past year. Green smoothies provide tremendous nutritions with the lowest gain in calories, helping you cleanse away your toxic, fight aging, and lose weight at the same time. The result is undoubtedly great and visible every time.
Today I will be sharing one of the 10 recipes JJ Smith recommends in her book. These recipes are scientifically proven and are tested to ensure the greatest benefits, so it is important to follow the recipes as closely as possible. This is the recipe you would follow on day 3 called Apple Berry:
1 handful spring mix greens
2 handfuls spinach
2 cups water
1 1/2 cups frozen blueberries
1 banana, peeled
1 apple, cored and quartered
1 packet stevia
2 tablespoons ground flaxseeds
You would put all ingredients into the blender and blend until creamy, and the 48 oz ingredients should be enough to last throughout the day. You would also snack on maximum a handful of raw and unsalted nuts, more fruits such as apple, celery and carrots, and drink a lot of water and warm detox tea. Yes, yes, yes, you don’t get to eat carbs or meat, but that it is exactly what’s giving you toxic and fat, making you feel heavy and drowsy throughout the day. After all, don’t forget to exercise as much as possible to sweat and burn the fat!
JJ Smith’s book helped me not so much on losing weight as I am already pretty lean, but helped me a lot on detoxing and relaxing. Results were visible in that I stopped getting new pimples on my face after my second day of the cleanse, and old pimples were going away quickly. You would start feeling your body lighter and your mind clearer, and your sleep pattern and mood would also be improved. It also changed my eating habits to be more aware of the importance of greens after the end of my cleanse.
I hope you enjoyed my recommendation of JJ Smith’s book 10-Day Green Smoothie Cleanse! Sharing a flawless full double rainbow I captured yesterday on Northern Blvd in Queens! Have a bright start of the week everyone!
