Counting Down in Taipei
Happy new year to all my readers! I wish you all a very productive and successful year ahead!
On the 30th, I flew to Taiwan for a countdown. The flight passed by Canada and Russia, so I took some stunning shots of snow mountains and alleys.
2016 was a productive year, but I wish I had worked harder to make the most out of what I had (the life of all bloggers and those who work in media.) My major success in 2016 was that I joined the fashion media industry, made connection with fashion insiders, and established Façhion Coma as a personal style blog as well as a gateway to read fashion. I am very appreciative of all of this – a fruitful year given by those around me and my hard work. In 2016, I learned to be more independent, more daring, and more conscious of the world, and I hope to keep growing and keep gaining more skill sets.
We found the best spot to see the firework at The Mortons in The Breeze across Taipei 101, a roof top bar & dining. There was a minimum spend 0f NT$1,888 (around $59 per person) for three glasses of alcohol, around $59 per person. We also ordered a steak on top of the three drinks.
The firework was stunning tho it only ran for 5 minutes, and the rest of the night, Taipei 101 was shining with a lightshow. As the firework sparked around the skyscraper, my friends Jenny and Iris and I made our wishes of 2017.
After the firework and the lightshow, we were going to go clubbing, but instead, we were attracted by the night market on the street. Surprisingly, I bumped into another group of friends from New York who were also countingdown in Taipei!
What a great way to start 2017! Sorry that Taipei was such a rush so I didn’t get to take good pictures and videos. Coming the next few days are vlogs and blog about Paris and Lyon as well as a few style blogs! On the 9th, I will also be heading to Vietnam and Cambodia. Stay tuned!
