What I Wore to New York Fashion Week Men’s
If I have one thing to complain about NYFW, it would be the weather. During winter, we can never escape from snowstorms or windchill, and during summer, the unbearable heat limits your outfit options.
But this season, for these tempting Gucci slippers, I suffer for beauty.
Alessandro Michele of Gucci revolutionized the brand’s image. Gucci is no longer old and forgotten, but it is playful, vibrant, and still classic. These slippers are made of leather and lamb fur lining with a delicate tiger embroidery.
It all started with these Gucci slippers when I saw them at the 5th Ave flagship store. I decided to dress for my first day of NYFW Men’s in my personal style – smart elegance with a touch of minimalism, and I stepped out to the freezing cold with bare feet.
Paired with cropped wide trousers, the outfit puts a spot light on the slippers. Cute Yves Saint Laurent tieneck dress shirt ties a bow on the chest for a layer if dimension to the flat and minimalistic silhouette. Long Sandro coat’s flowing legs add a smart finish to the outfit.
We made a stop to the Oculus in World Trade Center. It was such a representation of the 21st century architectural style – modern, sleek, simple and minimalistic. Can’t wait to come shopping next time!
Lastly, we stopped at By Chloe in SoHo to enjoy a vegan meal. My absolute favorites were the hot dog and the salad. I can’t recall exactly what the hot dog “meatball” was made of, but it tasted very real, just like real meat! The basil pasta was also really flavorful.
